Apartment Review for 1901 West - Annapolis, MD

Fire alarm goes off routinely - 3 times just last night. This will probably never get fixed as it has been an ongoing problem. The apartment is next to the fire station, so everytime the trucks leave the firehouse you will be awoke by loud horn blast as they speed through the nearby intersection. Traffic noise is ever present. I certain apartments, the lights from nearby business areas shine brightly through your blinds all night. I have seen piss (human? dog?)in the elevator - several days later still there. Other tenents do not understand the concept of a trash shute and leave bags with tampons or kitty liter in the room. Maintenance is horrible - taking days to weeks to fix broken gates or traffic control arms. The office staff are marginal and often careless - must evident by their shoddy handling of packages (more than once I have been told that I have a package and then don't, hope that wasn't your package). Since I have been here, I notice that more people are leaving than moving in. Do yourself a favor and don't bother moving in at all. I will be leaving at the termination of the lease, and in the middle of the night when I have once again been forced into the cold night by another "fire drill", I have considered paying the fines and moving to a place with better staff, better maintenance, and better neighbors.
