Apartment Review
Run!!!

This place is way over priced for what it is. In a nut shell if you expect a decent place to live this is not it!!! in the six months i have lived here the following has broken: Garbage disposal (twice) blinds shelving in closet (fell of wall due to improper anchoring) washer & dryer (with in a month of each other) toilet sliding glass door in shower light fixtures Thats nine items in six months all of which were not considered an emergency and took over a week to fix. can you imagine not being able to wash dishes for a week because you can't use your kitchen sink. they do come out and fix it but honestly, if your paying 1200 dollars for a one bedroom you expect things to work. The walls are so thin it sounds like your neighbors are in your apartment. The floors creak. with each step you wonder if you are going to fall through into the apartment below. ROACHES EXCEEDING ONE INCH IN SIZE are found through out the building and seem to be un-affected by the constant spraying of chemicals. The lawns are sprayed with pesticides to the point where worms seek refuge and die on the side walks by the thousands. its really gross. this is a waterfront community and all of those pesticides end up in the bay. in other words if you move here you are funding the destruction of our national treasure. good job management. parking is a nightmare. if you expect to park within a thousand feet of your apartment do not move here. management does nothing to manage this situation except to send out bulletins saying parking is first come first serve. once again i pay 1200 for a one bed room i shouldn't have to park four buildings away. perhaps if you didn't allow five adults who each own a car to live in one apartment you wouldn't have a problem. the fact is there are are more vehicles than people and more people than parking spots. well, thats every thing thats bad about the apartment. lets look at the community. Forrest drive is a nightmare. if its within two hours of rush hour it's a half hour gauntlet to US-50 complete with drivers steaming with road rage from their commute to the capital. if you think you can escape it by traveling through east port your correct in the winter. but can you say tourist season. it will take even longer in the summer. if you wish to go for a night out on the town. your too far to walk. if you felt up to it any way keep in mid you have to walk through the ghetto. so you still have to drive. Annapolis city cops love giving DUI. taxi is ten dollars in each direction. Over all. if you plan on spending around 1200. go to one of the new places thats close to the down town district. your too far here and it's really not worth your money. |
