Apartment Review for Annapolis Roads Apartments - Annapolis, MD

Situated within minutes of downtown Annapolis, Annapolis Roads Apartments is composed of older 1970's vintage buildings. Although the variously sized units (1-3 bedrooms) are moderatly up-to-date, with regular maintenance and newer appliances, the building structures themselves are deteroriating. The floors are very squeeky and sound travels very easily between units. Some buildings have experienced dramatic setteling ... cracks in walls and door frames out of square. Ultimately, the location is what kept me there for 2 years, as the rent was competitive with newer apt. complexes having lesser features. The Management was less than responsive in dealing with problems, although you could tell A.R.P. was just another property, of many, by the Home Properties corporation. As a note, Chesepeake Bay Apartments is the other part of this community. A friend from work who lived there explained these units were more recently build (late '80?) and seem not to have the same issues.
