I would not recommend Annapolis Roads, even to my worst enemies. Prior to signing the lease, the staff seemed extremely helpful and friendly. As other reviews have said, that will change once you have signed. There were some issues prior to us moving in and it took months to get them fixed...and that was after having to contact them constantly about it. Somewhat minor issues such as doors not opening and closing properly, problems within the bathroom with the plumbing in the sink. Finally, they came and attempted to fix the doors but were unsuccessful. They needed to 'order parts' to fix the plumbing in the bathroom. That was in December but we still cannot use the sinks. I have since learned that the reason the doors do not close properly is because one half of the building is sinking and causes the doors to not fit properly. This was brought to the attention of the staff. They were rude about it and nothing was done at all. Upon speaking to a neigbhor about the problem with the building, I found that he has the same problems and too is ignored by the staff. He showed me where his walls are cracking in the bedrooms, living room, and bathrooms. The walls are literally seperating from the rest of the building. You would think management would look into this problem. Their solution was to paint over the cracks and shove carpet into the holes in the floor along the wall. He showed me these cracks after everything was 'fixed' and the cracks are growing larger. The ONLY positive about this place is the layout of the apartment. I like the layout and it has a lot of square footage. I also noticed at least 2 police officers in the neighborhood and that adds to the security. What good is layout and security when your walls and doors are falling off because the building is moving? This place is definately not worth the value that they advertise, nor the headaches. I have lived in less expensive apartments in the city where customer service is outstanding. Keep looking..you will find better homes with better values. Its unfortunate because I was looking for a long-term rental and in the end, it was management that caused me to leave. |
