Apartment Review for Watergate Village Leasing Office - Annapolis, MD

I've been at Watergate Village just under a year, and am being relocated out of state. I've met people who have lived here 5, 10, and one couple 29 years! I've met quite a few friendly people here while out walking the dogs. The complex is very pet friendly, and I have 2 dogs (greyhounds). Reportedly there is a max. of 2 pets per apartment, but there are certainly people who live here at Watergate Village with more than 2 pets per apartment. There are a surprising number of people who feel it is a good idea to open their doors and let their cats outside here, which is stupid at best. The location is lovely, and convieniently situated just across the Spa Creek bridge from downtown Annapolis in Eastport. It's a shame with such a lovely location that the property isn't kept up as well as it should be; there is litter around the property, and there is personal property crime here, such as car break-ins and property theft. I've mentioned to the leasing office a couple times about the poor lighting in certain areas at night, and the office hasn't done anything. The leasing office staff is very friendly, and maintenance is very prompt. I had so many problems with my toilet and bathroom sink backing up, and maintenance must have come more than a dozen times to snake out the plumbing. They finally replaced the toilet, which helped some, but I've learned to live with it. The seasonal pool is very popular.
